Sterling Silver
Sterling silver flatware is a quality 92.5% pure silver combined with 7.5% of an alloy such as copper or zinc which adds strength to the metal. The name originated in Germany and the quality of sterling is uniform throughout a piece. Silver is very easy to care for if done properly and contrary to what most people believe it will actually tarnish less if it is used frequently so there will be less need for polishing. Over time sterling develops a rich tone from oxidation and this will enhance the details of your pattern. Rotate your pieces evenly as this develops so it is consistent throughout your collection.
